Hawks Hired! Ben Manning ’21

Ben Manning will be graduating from the Gabelli School of Business, magna cum laude, with a bachelor of science in management with a double major in marketing in May of 2021. During his time at Roger Williams University, Ben completed three internships while holding various roles in organizational leadership on campus. Ben has been an Orientation Advisor, Resident Assistant, and an Admissions Ambassador displaying genuine compassion and dedication to servicing and helping others. While holding two memberships in honor societies, Ben’s passion for learning and leading is a true display of how one can make the most out of their college experience.  Recently, Ben has been honored with receiving the Presidents Core Values award from the Gabelli School of Business, which is an incredible accomplishment and a true testament to his academic achievements. He has also participated in the National Student Advertising Competition continuing to showcase his exceptional persistence in the field.

Ben recently accepted a position with Linedata as a Business Development Specialist, where he will be implementing new development initiatives. With Ben’s academic experiences as a double major in management and marketing, he plans to develop communication plans, curate outreach pipelines, and work collaboratively with his team to exceed Linedata’s mission and future goals.

Ben was attracted to this role given his prior experience as an intern within the company. Ben was exposed to different organizational functions within Linedata, where he was able to be a part of advertising campaigns and the pre-sales process. His experience grew to allow for more responsibility working on pipelines for the sales department to pursue leads.  Ben would be happy to speak with any student interested in the industry if other Hawks want to learn more about ways to get involved.

Ben is a decorated student at Roger Williams University who has served as a vital member of the campus community both academically and socially. Ben states, “I could not have gotten here without Gerry Matos, who at Roger Williams University has become my greatest mentor in my time. I would also like to extend a thank you to all of the amazing faculty, staff, and students of the University who have made the last four years unforgettable.”

We are as excited for Ben’s next steps as he engages in the professional world and pursues his next opportunity. His impact on the Roger Williams campus will be missed, but in his trail, he leaves an opportunity for fellow Hawks to feel supported by offering an opportunity to connect and learn from his experiences.
