RWU First Generation Day Celebration

The University is formally celebrating all of our students, faculty, staff, and alumni who identify – or identified – as first-generation college students, with our inaugural First Generation Day Celebration on Thursday, November 4th.

The day will provide an array of professional development and learning opportunities for first-generation learners throughout our community, and celebrate their contributions to RWU and beyond.

The day’s events will include First-Gen pin and sticker pick-ups at various locations on campus, and afternoon sessions – some in person, some virtual – where you will hear from First-Gen students, faculty, staff, and alumni.

More information to come. Please look out for our RSVP form to sign up for the day’s events!

Are you First Gen?

To ensure RWU includes and recognizes all of the first-gen members in our community, we need your help. If you are/were a first-gen college student in your family, please complete this brief survey. Note: First generation being defined as a student whose natural or adoptive parents did not received a baccalaureate degree.

LET US KNOW IF YOU’RE FIRST GEN

We hope you will join us in this wonderful celebration!
