Why were you initially interested in this internship? I was initially interested in this experience because I wanted to gain more field experience, specifically in regard to policing.

How did you find your internship? I found this opportunity through conducting online job research.

What did you do as part of your internship? As a part of this internship, I would direct pedestrian/vehicle traffic to unload the ferries, write parking tickets, and be a general deterrence of shoplifting and unlawful behavior.

Has this internship helped you work towards your future career goals? If so, how? This role has definitely helped me work towards my career goal. I have connected with the full-time officers and have heard about their experiences as police officers. I am also gaining experience in what a police officer may encounter each day.

What advice would you give to someone interested in a similar internship opportunity? The job can be difficult and stressful at times but it feels very rewarding when you are thanked or recognized for the jobs you do.
