CTLCV has a range of internship opportunities including Communications, Development , Political , Community Organizing and Event Coordinating (winter only).
Communications & Outreach Intern
CTLCV seeks an energetic individual with excellent verbal and creative writing skills to:
- assist with overall communications outreach and social media strategy;
- engage with urban communities on environmental issues;
- activate citizens to have their lawmakers and/or candidates running for office committed to environmental policies;
- learn how to track and influence environmental policy at the state level.
CTLCV seeks an energetic individual with excellent verbal and creative writing skills to assist in vital fundraising efforts. The intern will learn and hone highly marketable skills in the development and maintenance of the organization’s fundraising activities. The intern will help the Development Director on communications with previous and potential donors, look for opportunities to garner support for the organization, and assist in formulating and writing grant proposals. Competence in Microsoft Excel and experience with grant writing, database management, or working with non-profits is a plus.
Political Intern: 2021 legislative session
CTLCV seeks a self-motivated individual with exemplary skills in verbal and written communication and an interest in environmental policy to help CTLCV with outreach and bill tracking during the 2021 legislative session. Prospective candidates should be prepared to directly communicate with legislators and special interest groups to track the progress of bills on our watchlist, including tracking votes and listening to public hearings. Strong communication and social media skills recommended.
Community Organizing Intern
The CTLCV Education Fund is seeking an energetic individual with excellent verbal and creative writing skills to assist with community engagement on environmental issues. An ideal candidate is someone who is passionate about environmental justice, restoring and protecting the environment, interested in learning about the legislative process, and environmental activism. Conversational in Spanish preferred.
Graphic Design Intern
CTLCV seeks a creative individual with technical and artistic abilities to assist in creating visual concepts to communicate, inspire, and inform our members. Prospective candidates should have experience developing brand images, advertisements, brochures, website design and other organization materials. Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite package, primarily Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign is required.
- Candidates must be currently enrolled in a college or graduate school, or law program.
- All interns work a minimum of eight hours/week for three months.
