RWU Men’s rugby is currently a Division 3 Club Sport and competes in the Colonial Coast Rugby Conference. In 2013 RWU Men’s Rugby: •Hosted & won the Colonial Coast 7’s Championship securing a spot in the NSCRO National 7’s Championship in Philadelphia. •Went to the Division 2 Championship of the Beast of the East for the 1st time in School and Tournament History. •Fundraised $4,000 for our Philadelphia Trip through Alumni Donation providing the opportunity for our team to go on a University approved overnight trip for the 1st time since 1995. •Participated in NSCRO National 7’s Championship and finished the 7’s season with a top 10 national ranking at #8. •Defeated Salve Regina for the 1st time in 4 years to take the Mount Hope Cup! •Completed the 1st perfect regular season in Roger Williams Men’s Rugby history with a 7-0 record outscoring opponents 275 -99. •Finished the 2013 Fall season with our highest ever National Ranking of #12 out of 218 teams.
