What was your internship? My internship this semester was with a clinical social worker for a private company.

Why were you initially interested in this internship? I was interested in this internship because I knew my supervisor personally and had a really close connection with her and knew that she has close connections with other professionals in her field as well as in the legal field as well.

How did you find your internship? I found my internship through personal connections, as mentioned before I know my supervisor personally and have known her for years and we have always been juggling around the idea of doing an internship together.

What did you do as part of your internship? As part of my internship, I had the pleasure of chatting with several different people from several different fields of the law and the psychological world. I was able to talk with DCYF workers, Lawyers, pre-trial service workers, and more.

Has this internship helped you work towards your future career goals? If so, how? This internship has helped me work towards my future career goal as I wouldn’t have had the connections and opportunities I did during my internship from my supervisor to be able to talk and get a feel from all these experts in all these different fields.

What was your biggest lesson/takeaway from the internship? My biggest takeaway from this internship in connections. It is so crucial to have connections with other in similar fields as recommendations come from them and grow a bigger network. I want my name to be big and know and in order to do that I must be social and applicable to other professionals.
