What was your internship? I was a Digital Marketing Intern at Verint.

Why were you initially interested in this internship? I became interested in this internship because it was the perfect opportunity to apply the knowledge and skills learned in the classroom to real world scenarios in a global scale organization.

How did you find your internship? I found this internship on Verint’s website.

What did you do as part of your internship? As part of my internship, some of my tasks included performing regular content audits of the company’s downloadable resources to ensure alignment with Verint’s current branding. Additionally, I was in charge of developing, uploading and managing website content such as case studies, events, landing pages and more, leading to increased engagement and reach. Lastly, one of my most important projects was conducting research on the company’s search engine, Algolia, to
optimize its use and enhance search results, improving user experience and operational efficiency.

Has this internship helped you work towards your future career goals? If so, how?
This internship has helped me work towards my career goals because it opened the door to a world of possibilities
that I had not had the opportunity to explore before. As a first gen college student, navigating the intricacies of the Tech/Corporate world can be a little challenging, however, at Verint I was always welcomed and included. My manager encouraged me to ask questions, take
ownership of difficult tasks, and most importantly, network with colleagues across the organization.

What was your biggest lesson/takeaway from the internship? My biggest takeaway from the internship is that although imposter syndrome is very real, it is important to remember that we deserve to be in these spaces.

What advice would you give to someone interested in a similar internship opportunity? One piece of advice I would give to anyone interested in a similar internship opportunity would be: Do not be discouraged by the current state of the work market and be confident in who you are and your skills in your interviews. Confidence goes a long way!
