Practicum vs Traditional
Students who follow a practicum model meet with their faculty sponsor once a week with a designated class time to review internship experience and reflect on their experience. Students who follow a traditional internship model will complete 135 hours, no classroom time. View the chart below to learn about different requirements for different majors.

Students who do not fall into the major groups below will follow a traditional internship registration model.

Psychology (PSYCH 499)
Students who wish to receive credit for a Psychology Internship will have 15 hrs of classroom time during the semester.

Justice Studies (CJ 469/SEC 469/LS 469)
Public Health (PH 460)Students in the School of Justice Studies will complete 15 hrs of classroom time during the semester. Public Health majors will complete 45 hrs of classroom time during the semester.

Students completing an internship for credit through the Gabelli School of Business have an additional writing requirement for the end of semester paper.
