Thursday, March 28th through Monday April 1st 2024CCPD will not host, promote or market internal or external events scheduled outside of our event season window or during blackout dates. These restrictions were developed with students in mind, taking into consideration the time needed to adjust each semester, acclimate on campus after breaks, settle into class schedules, midterm weeks, and times needed to focus on finals tests and projects. Blackout dates include university holidays, as well as their well-deserved breaks and travel times associated with breaks. -
Recruiting Event Types, Structures, and Timing
New this year we will focus on better curated industry career events, strengthening the quality of engagement for and from our students. Previous data shows students become overwhelmed with the number of events hosted each semester, as well as feel overwhelmed when the industries cross multiple fields. While this new structure has been developed to best support the needs of students for a successful career trajectory, we also want to ensure that employers engaging with RWU have a robust quantity, as well as quality connection with students who are present, prepared, and committed to the experience.
With many students securing their post-graduation opportunities and summer internship offers in the Fall semester, many of our recruiting events will happen in the Fall Semester, with the exception of our Architecture Hiring Event hosted Late February, and a Virtual Internship & Career Fair hosted Early February to connect any remaining students still looking, with employers having a few additional openings to fill.
As we transition to this new industry based, seasonal model, we will slowly be rolling out our events. This list is subject to change with events being added during the semester, be sure to check back for possible additions. Should you not see an event that aligns with your industry, sign up for the Virtual Fair in February.
Interested in hosting your own interview day on campus, there will be opportunities to come to campus to host interviews with potential students of interest, extending offers for internships and jobs.
